“we are imperfect, what a lovely thing to be”

About

R3NYAS (pronounced ren-yuh) is an artist and scholar based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Creatively, she has been working with graphic design since she was 12 years old and she has built her artistic brand on authenticity, her life story, and finding love everywhere. Her creatives include but are not limited to writing, photography, audio production, video production, content creation and platform management, and graphic design.

Academically, R3NYAS has achieved her bachelor of arts in media and culture from Aug 2021 – Dec 2023 and obtained her master of arts in communication studies in December 2025. Her thesis was on social exchange theory and applying it to dyadic relationships without a focus on monetary benefits. She aspires to further contribute to research and she wants to study the connection between addiction, integrated technologies, and media effects.

Professionally, R3NYAS works on gaining experience in the world of human resources as an HR professional. Additionally, she works as an adjunct professor to lead and support young academics. R3NYAS has plans on obtaining her doctoral and to pursue academia full time.

A little more about Renya (without fancy moniker and spelling).

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to make this less corporate. My life from 2024-2025 has been corporate, research, and professional language. The last two decades of my life have been chaotic, interesting, and almost unreal. So here are some fun facts!

  • My favourite bands are the 1975 (yes, I know, I’m sorry), Cage The Elephant, Glass Animals, BETWEENFRIENDS, and lovelytheband!
    • You might find this very funny, so here is my Spotify.
  • I’m divorced (or in the process of)!
  • I love to travel and have hit 13 cities in 2025 (if your city is cool, aka has a coffee shop and a library, let me know and I’ll drop by)!
  • My favourite colours are sanguine red and sapphire blue.
  • Some people that I look up to are Marshall McLuhan, Aldous Huxley, Albert Bandura, Jason Colquitt, and more!
  • My sourdough starter (named Sally) is my longest, and healthiest relationship (I’ve had her since January of 2024).
  • I was cyber-schooled in 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade and therefore didn’t get a lot of social interaction, hence why I use the British spelling (a lot of literature I read was written by the English). It’s weird, and I’m trying to change it.
  • I don’t like using my fingers to eat, so I will often have tongs, chopsticks, or I will use a fork and knife (yes, I have eaten pizza with a fork and knife).
  • I looooove Garfield. In fact, I used to collect the McDonald’s Garfield mugs. I lost my collection when my ex-husband and I separated, but the love for Garfield is still there.

a personal message from R3NYAS:

Thank you so much for checking out my digital hub for my work. The internet has always fascinated me, and so has the death of it. Physically, we are lacking third spaces. Technologically, we are lacking in websites and online archives to discover. In the early stages of the internet, websites of random art, information, or entertaining creations were abundant. Now, we only have consumerism. My life’s work is (and will continuously) be added here and I’m so thankful that you’re interested in my existence and the things I’ve created.

if you see this, tell me your favourite songs, travel recommendations, food to try, etc.
