obsoletemelodies (2017-2019)

“obsoletemelodies“, a YouTube channel where I made the worst lyric videos in existence in an attempt to blow up on YouTube. Oh how much I’ve grown. (2017-2019).

Created on iMovie, obsoletemelodies was a project done in R3NYAS’ teen years during high school. The audio was downloaded from a YouTube to .mp3 convertor. The visuals were created using slides that featured each lyric set for a specified duration of time. Those slides were downloaded and imported to iMovie. The slide duration was changed to fit the lyric set, and transitions were added. Once the final product was complete, it was uploaded and posted to YouTube.

Thank you so much for checking out my digital hub for my work. The internet has always fascinated me, and so has the death of it. Physically, we are lacking third spaces. Technologically, we are lacking in websites and online archives to discover. In the early stages of the internet, websites of random art, information, or entertaining creations were abundant.
