consumption (2023)

“consumption”, a hybrid project combining videography, poetry, and technical skills. The equipment used were a Canon Rebel T5 and CapCut (2023).

“consumption” was created as a way to explore Adobe Audition and other various software. The background was created using a static photo taken during an urban exploration in an abandoned mill. The photo’s colours were edited and pushed through a program on an app (Videoleap) to make the glitch effect. The glitch effect was looped.

The audio was created by recording the poem on Adobe Audition. Random modulation and distortion effects were added to make the voice sound robotic and inhuman.

The audio was added to the looping glitch layer, and the captions were generated on CapCut.
